Five Disney Recipes to make while in quarantine

Although Walt Disney World is closed right now due to the Corona Virus, Disney has been kind enough to share some new recipes never shared before, and some classic recipes that fans have been following for some time now. Thanks to Disney, we can feel like we never left the park and bring the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ into our homes.

1. Whipping up some Dole

Disney shared their Dole Whip recipe with fans via the My Disney Experience app.

The simple recipe calls for only three ingredients:

  • 1 big scoop of ice cream

  • 4 ounces of pineapple juice

  • 2 cups of frozen pineapple

This is a great treat for those of us wishing we were at the Happiest Place on Earth right now. This sweet snack is refreshing for days when you’re social distancing by your pool or can give you nostalgia when you’re wanting a late night snack.

2. Woody's Round Up

On Nation Grilled Cheese Day, Disney took it upon themselves to share their three-cheese sandwich recipe from Woody’s Lunch Box, a treat you can get only by going to Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios.

Toy Story Land is designed to make the guest feel as though they are hanging out in Andy’s backyard and since we cannot do that right now, Disney Parks Blog was kind enough to help make us feel like we are hanging out with Woody and Buzz all quarantine long.

3. Bites of Magical Moments

Inspired by copycat recipes fans were making at home, Alex Dunlap, Food & Beverage Communications Coordinator at Walt Disney World, Orlando, shared the ever-loved Churro Bites recipe so fans can “continue creating #DisneyMagicMoments,” at home.

This recipe is not specific to one park, but all Disney locations around the world.

4. It's 5 o'clock Somewhere

For those 21 and over, Disney Cruise Line has even shared a recipe for their signature Balsamic Grande Cocktail.

The drink is from the Palo restaurant that is aboard each ship the cruise line has to offer. Although this recipe was shared before the pandemic began, it is definitely worth giving a shot.

The Disney Parks Blog website says that this drink pairs great with brunch. It is a refreshing drink featuring vodka, a splash of 5-year-old balsamic vinegar and fresh muddled strawberries.

A simple drink that is loved by many fans that you can now make in the comfort of your own home.

5. One for the whole family

Cooking Up the Magic at Home brings us another fan favorite from Disney’s PHC Grill, located at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel in California. Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Banana French Toast is a fun one for families to make together.

This one can even be included in the brunch that you will make the Balsamic Grande for. Mom, dad and kids will love this one. This fairly simple recipe is one that will be worth the wait while it is baking in the oven.

This French toast recipe will make you feel like you’re in paradise even if you’re just hanging out at home with your dogs.
